Welcome, friends!
As a mom of two boys, I am navigating the same struggles of modern parenthood that you are — tantrums, bedtime battles, screen time, endless questions, sibling squabbles, and the constant juggling act of managing family life.
Through these challenges, my goal is to manage my own triggers, stay calm, and maintain a strong relationship with my kids.

Let’s take time.
I’ve realized that most of my parenting fails come from not taking the time - in the small moments as well as in the big picture.
Not taking the time: to pause, to reflect, to empathize, to connect, to communicate, to understand, to appreciate, to be here now.
It can seem impossible to take the time when your nervous system erupts at every challenging interaction.
My goal is to help you do the inner work necessary to be able to approach each parenting challenge with equanimity - that is, to say, calm and confidence.
Through our sessions, we will take the time to become aware — of negative patterns, fears, and expectations — and reflect on how to make changes and move forward.
It’s magical — awareness and reflection, they set you free.
They allow you to pause, to be intentional in your responses.
They give you time. And space.
When we can parent from that place of peace, trust, and connection, we can see and enjoy our kids for who they really are.
And when we can do that, our kids THRIVE.
MY PARENTING PHILOSOPHY IS GROUNDED IN EVIDENCE-BASED RESEARCH ON POSITIVE AND GENTLE PARENTING STRATEGIES.
I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT A HAPPY HOME STARTS WITH THE PARENTS.
WHEN WE PARENT FROM A FOUNDATION OF PEACE, TRUST, AND CONNECTION, OUR CHILDREN FLOURISH.
I’m Alisa Simonds, a certified parenting coach with a master’s degree and also a mom of two boys. I help parents find calm and build connection with their kids.
I’m here to guide you toward a more peaceful and fulfilling parenting experience. If you're willing to slow down, take the time to explore your parenting journey, or try something new, this is where you belong.
island wisdom
I live on a beautiful island called Okinawa.
Maybe you’ve heard of it because it is one of the world’s five blue zones — where people regularly live over 100 years.
Island time is real — and, if you are open, the island has a lot to teach.
Island wisdom can teach us to embrace a slower pace, to connect deeply with our surroundings and loved ones, and to find balance and harmony in our daily lives.
Embracing these lessons allow us to focus on what truly matters - our connections: to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.
It would be an honor to bring these island insights to you in helping you create a nurturing, peaceful, and fulfilling family life.
